Their first computer. Safe and free of distractions.

Kidux is a complete operating system for children, with everything ready to learn. Put it on an old computer and hand it over with peace of mind.

A child's screen on Kidux, with a tile for each learning module

A whole system, made safe

Not an app, not a filter on top of something else: the entire computer. No ads, no store, no open internet. Only what you choose.

One thing at a time

Each activity fills the screen, with nothing to wander off to. When they are ready, switch windows on and it becomes a real desktop.

Learning, ready to go

Coding, logic, maths, reading and typing. Modules install with one button, already set up, with the focus on STEM.

On the computer you already have

Almost any PC or laptop made since 2008 will do. Give that old machine a second life.

Raspberry Pi 5, coming soon

A computer that is theirs

Their picture, their name, their password. And inside, only what an adult has chosen.

  • Each child signs in with their own picture and password.
  • No desktop to get lost in, no settings to break, no way out.
  • Brothers and sisters take turns, each with their own things.

It grows with them

Start simple. Open it up when they are ready.

Full screen

How every child starts: one activity on the screen, and a bar along the bottom to go home.

Two learning modules open in windows

Windows

For an older child: several programs in view, to move and resize, as on any computer.

Six ways to learn, from 2 to 16

The programs teachers trust, installed and set up for you.

GCompris Ages 2 to 10

Over a hundred activities: reading, counting, colours, the keyboard and the mouse.

ScratchJr Ages 5 to 7

Stories and games made with picture blocks. No reading needed.

Blockly Games Ages 6 to 12

Puzzles that teach coding, one step harder each time.

Tux Typing Ages 6 to 12

Learn to type by catching the letters and words that fall.

Scratch Ages 8 and up

Make games and stories with blocks, as at school.

TurboWarp Ages 8 and up

Scratch made faster, for a slower computer.

You decide. From one place.

An adult panel, behind a password that is never typed where a child could catch it.

  • How long each day, and on which days.
  • Which modules each child may use.
  • More time, or none, at any moment.
  • When time is up the screen locks, and nothing is lost.
